What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device, such as your computer, tablet, or mobile phone. When you visit a site, it stores a cookie on your device that allows it to remember details about your visit — such as your preferences, how you were referred, and which pages you viewed.
A cookie is not a program and cannot execute code. It cannot be a vector for a virus or malicious application. A cookie can only be read by the domain that created it — BtcReels cookies cannot be read by any casino or other website you visit.
There are two main types based on lifespan:
- Session cookies — exist only for the duration of your visit or browser session. Once you close your browser, these cookies are deleted automatically.
- Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period ranging from days to years, depending on their expiration date, or until you delete them manually.
And two types based on origin:
- First-party cookies — set directly by BtcReels (btcreels.com) when you visit our site.
- Third-party cookies — set by external services we use, such as analytics providers or affiliate tracking networks.
Cookie Categories We Use
BtcReels uses four categories of cookies. Two are mandatory and do not require your consent. Two are optional and require your consent before being set.
Necessary cookies are required for the proper functioning of the website and cannot be disabled. They do not contain personal data and are exempt from CASL consent requirements.
What they do: Maintain session activity, store your cookie consent status, perform security checks, and enable the site to load correctly.
Analytics cookies help us assess how visitors interact with BtcReels — how many pages are visited, for how long, from which sources, and what content is most consumed. This helps us optimise the site.
What they do: Count page views, record session length, track referral sources, and measure bounce rates. All data is aggregated and anonymised — we cannot personally identify individual users from analytics data.
Provider: We use privacy-respecting analytics tools with IP masking enabled, ensuring no personal data is sent to analytics servers.
An affiliate tracking cookie is set when you click a casino link on BtcReels. This cookie identifies which site referred you, and if you register at the casino, we are credited with a referral commission.
What they do: Store a unique referral ID assigned to the casino operator. This cookie is read by the casino when you register, confirming which referrer sent the visit.
Important: None of these cookies give BtcReels access to your casino account, your deposits, your game activity, or any personal data you provide to the casino. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.
Preference cookies remember choices you have made on the site so we can personalise your experience. If BtcReels introduces language options, design themes, or saved filters, these settings will be stored in preference cookies.
What they do: Store the options you select in the UI so they are retained the next time you visit.

Third-Party Cookies
In addition to cookies set directly by BtcReels, third-party services we use may also set their own cookies. We have no direct control over these — they are governed by the third party’s own privacy and cookie policies.
- Analytics provider — may set first-party or third-party cookies to measure website traffic. We use a privacy-respecting configuration with IP anonymization.
- Casino affiliate networks — when you click through to a casino, the casino's tracking systems may set cookies on their domain. Those cookies are governed by the casino's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — we load fonts from Google's CDN. Google may log the request; see Google's Privacy Policy.
BtcReels does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking cookies.
Your Consent & CASL
Under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and associated privacy regulations, non-essential cookies may only be placed on your device with your informed consent. The first time you visit BtcReels, a cookie notice appears asking you to accept or decline non-essential cookies.
- Strictly necessary cookies are placed immediately — they are required for the site to work and do not need consent.
- Analytics, affiliate tracking, and preference cookies are only placed after you provide consent via the cookie notice.
- Your consent choice is stored in the
cookie_consentcookie for 12 months. - You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your cookies or adjusting your browser settings — see How to Manage Cookies below.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that took place before the withdrawal. Strictly necessary cookies will continue to be set regardless of your consent choice, as they are required for the site to function.
